Book Your Flight

This is my first stop for looking up flights due to its convenience and wide range of flights available. You can also track the price of a flight you are interested in to be notified when the price drops.

This website is great for the budget-conscious traveler. I ALWAYS check this site to ensure I am getting the best deals. Note: Skyscanner will show you ticket prices from different companies. Do some research on the companies to make sure they are legit before you book your tickets!

I appreciate the one-stop-shop experience Expedia offers, including its comprehensive flight, hotel, and car rental options and its convenient mobile app. This is a great tool for booking your trip.

Airlines

This budget airlines gets a bad rap from some people, but I love it! Where else can you get an international flight from the US to South America for less than $100? If you can fit all of your luggage into a carry-on, then its worth looking into this airlines.

I may be biased coming from Atlanta, but Delta is my preferred airline for comfort. There is a variety of in-flight entertainment options that make even long flights go by quickly. It is not the cheapest airline, but is usually worth it for longer flights.

Qatar Airways is my favorite airline for long international flights. I can personally vouch for the exceptional service and comfort of this airline. The seats are comfortable, the food is great, and the prices are very fair.

Airport Lounges

Being a member of Priority Pass gives you access to over 1,300 lounges worldwide. Having access to free meals, beds, showers, and even drinks before a long flight will save you money and make your trip much more enjoyable!

Train Tickets

This website is great for traveling around Europe. You can search and book train tickets in 45 different countries, while getting real-time information on departure times, ticket availability, and prices.

Hotels

Booking.com offers a wide variety of accommodation options for all budgets, from discount hotels to all-inclusive luxury resorts. Its wide range of options make finding a place to stay a breeze.

Travelocity is also a useful tool for booking flights. This website offers price matching and, similar to Expedia, the ability to book flights and rent cars.

Alternate Accomodations

Vrbo is a great option for travelers who prefer to  experience their destination as a local. You can enjoy the comforts from home in an apartment or vacation home. Staying at a Vrbo location is great for families because you won’t be sharing the location with other travelers.

With Airbnb, you will find a wide range of  accommodations to stay at. You could rent an entire house with your friends, or you can save money and just rent out a room. Tip: If you want to learn the local language without spending a ton of money on an immersion program, rent out a room with Airbnb and practice the language with your host family!

This is my go-to option as a solo traveler. You can choose certain hostels depending on if you want a party atmosphere or a more chill vibe. You will have the option between renting a bed in a dormitory-style room or renting your own private room.

Similar to Hostelworld, but you will be able to find additional hostels and guesthouses. These tend to be cheaper, so I recommend checking this website in addition to Hostelworld.

Travel Insurance

If you are looking for Travel Insurance, I recommend going with World Nomads. They offer personalized protection and 24/7 coverage in locations around the world. They will also cover you for activities such as scuba diving, skiing, and bungee jumping.

Learn About your destination

I value the experiences of other travelers, which is why I use Tripadvisor to get an honest and in-depth look at hotels, restaurants, and activities before booking my next trip.
