South America
South America is a continent located in the western hemisphere, bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. It is the fourth-largest continent in the world by land area, and it is home to a diverse range of cultures, languages, and landscapes.
The geography of South America is varied, with a range of landscapes including mountain ranges, deserts, forests, grasslands, and coastlines. The Andes Mountains run the length of the continent and are home to some of the highest peaks in the Western Hemisphere. The Amazon Rainforest is the largest rainforest in the world, and the Pantanal, located in the central part of the continent, is the largest wetland in the world.
The culture of South America has been influenced by its indigenous peoples, as well as European and African cultures. Each country and ethnic group has a distinct culture. There are many languages spoken in South America, including Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, and Dutch, as well as around 350 indigenous languages, including Quechua, Aymara, and Guaraní.
